Aveda sets new standards for sustainability in the cosmetics industry

The world's first cosmetics company Aveda Receives Cradle to Cradle, The (C2C) sustainability of the internationally recognized environmental confirmation institute EPEA (Environmental Protection and Encouragement Agency). This award is another milestone in the field of sustainability within the 31-year history of Aveda. Once in 2008, Aveda, Cradle to Cradle certification received for four of its organic ingredients, now seven products from Aveda with "gold" have been awarded Cradle to CradleSM certification.

Cradle to Cradle is what?

The Cradle to Cradle design concept takes inspiration from nature, # in which all materials are viewed as nutrients circulating in closed loops continuously. The vision of the concept is a world free of pollution and waste. In this sense, the excellent Aveda products that are eco-efficient "and environmentally smart 'because they are environmentally safe to use, healthy and reusable materials were prepared.

100% certified wind energy

Aveda products are produced using 100% certified wind power since January 2007, the total electricity consumption of the Aveda Aveda Distribution Center and manufacturing facility in Blaine, Minnesota, backed 100% by wind energy. Says Dominique Conseil, president of Aveda. "The  conversion of our facilities in Blaine on 100% wind energy is an important milestone for Aveda and a giant step towards this goal. We also encourage our business partners and suppliers to convert their energy supply, because only together we can Achieve measurable results at a global level."
